Ferintosh Guest House Dumfries

Bed and Breakfast in Dumfries

We are the perfect location for the dog shows held at DG One. Dumfries & Galloway Canine Society and other kennel clubs often have dog shows here. DG One is a quick 4 minute walk from our front door.

bullet_dog.jpgDogs are allowed to stay in the rooms with the guests, but must NOT be left unattended in the room, unless special arrangements are made with Robertson - If your dog is crate trained and a non-barking dog you may be allowed to leave the dog unattended in the room in his/her crate. This is, of course, by prior arrangement with Robertson.

bullet_dog.jpgUnfortunately we cannot allow dogs in the dining room during breakfast. Your dog can have a wee rest in your car whilst you have breakfast ... or you can eat your breakfast in shifts if there are 2 of you.

taffeeriley3.jpgbullet_dog.jpgWater bowls, food bowls, and poop bags are available for your use.

bullet_dog.jpgWe also have spare leads and umbrellas should you need to borrow them.

bullet_dog.jpgThere is a great tree lined place to walk dogs right across the road from the Guest House and hundreds of great walks in the surrounding area (river walks, hill treks, you name it ... )

ferintosh18.jpgbullet_dog.jpgDumfries has many pubs that are Dog Friendly: Waverly Pub, Tam O' Shanter, Fleshers Arms, Douglas Arms, The Ship Inn, New Bazaar, Lyver, Globe Inn, and The Coach & Horses.

bullet_dog.jpgDumfries also has some pub/restaurants allow you to have your dog with you on the patio whilst you eat; The Globe Inn, Unky Dunks, The Swan, Station Hotel, ... at the Coach & Horses you can eat IN the pub with your dog (lunch only) and at The Waverly Bar you can eat lunch or supper IN the pub with your dog.

bullet_dog.jpgYou can also order Chinese or Indian Takeaway, have it delivered to Ferintosh, and eat in our Dining Room with your dog. We have menus downstairs and we will supply you with plates and napkins- just ask.

bullet_dog.jpgWe have never had a dog steal towels, cutlery, or pictures off the walls. We have never had to evict a dog in the middle of the night for being drunk and disorderly. No dog has ever smoked in our rooms and no dog has ever run out on their bill... if your dog will vouch for you, you're welcome to stay here too.
